Relocating a pet from Canada to India involves both Canadian export certification and Indian import clearance. Pet parents should start early because the health certificate may need endorsement before departure.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency states that an appointment is required to get a pet export certificate endorsed by an official CFIA veterinarian, and the endorsement cannot be completed after the animal has already left Canada. Canada's travel guidance also advises pet owners to contact their veterinarian early because requirements may include health certificates, vaccinations, tests or treatments depending on the destination country.
For India arrival, AQCS requires supporting documents such as vaccination and microchip certificate, official health certificate, ticket or airway bill and passport copy for the advance NOC process.
Felcan can support Canada to India pet relocation through documentation review, AQCS NOC coordination, airline cargo support and arrival clearance assistance.
