Many pet parents relocate to India from Middle East countries such as the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Kuwait. Although each origin country may have its own export documentation process, India-side requirements usually include an AQCS NOC, official health certificate, microchip details, vaccination records, passport copy and flight or airway bill.
AQCS requires the official health certificate from the country of origin to certify that the pet is free from clinical signs of infectious and contagious diseases. It also requires rabies vaccination details and other vaccination records to be officially certified or mentioned in the health certificate.
Pet parents should also confirm whether the movement falls under baggage rule, transfer of residence, re-import, temporary stay or cargo movement. A DGFT licence may be relevant in cases not covered under normal eligible baggage rules. AQCS states that livestock except pet dogs/cats up to two numbers under baggage rules are covered under a DGFT licence.
Felcan assists with Middle East to India pet relocation, document review, AQCS NOC coordination, cargo assistance, customs support and pet arrival coordination.
