When a dog or cat arrives in India, the AQCS officer examines the pet at the port of entry. The pet's documents are checked, and the physical condition of the animal is assessed. If the pet is found sound and healthy, AQCS issues the final NOC at the port of entry.
If the pet fails physical examination or shows clinical signs of disease, AQCS may take the pet to the quarantine station for 15 days. During quarantine, examination records are maintained and testing may be done as required.
Felcan assists pet parents with arrival coordination, airport cargo clearance support, customs documentation and pet handover assistance in India.
